ROBERT MONTGOMERY Director
|
Mr. Montgomery foresook a legendary Hollywood career when he became the
producer and director of television's award-winning "Robert Montgomery Presents." His
illustrious record as the star of some of the most distinguished films of our time -- "Night
Must Fall," "Rage in Heaven," "Here Comes Mr. Jordan," etc. -- is further enhanced by
the varied interests to which he continues to contribute his time and energies as a
member of the Board of Directors of R. H. Macy & Co., the Legal Aid Society, the
National Information Bureau, the Lenox Hill Neighborhood Association, the Medical and
Surgical Relief Committee, and the Directors Guild of America, and a trustee of the
Motion Picture Players Welfare Fund. A Captain in the Untied States Naval Reserve,
Robert Montgomery served in active duty during World War II in both the Atlantic and
Pacific areas. In addition, Mr. Montgomery was Special Consultant to President Dwight
D. Eisenhower during the years 1954 to 1960. "Calculated Risk" reunites the director
with the Messrs. Erskine and Hayes for whom he staged the latter's highly successful
"The Desperate Hours" a few years ago.
