SYNOPSIS:
A group of women volunteer for nursing duty in France during WWI. Babs and
Joy fall in love with handsome young aviators, Wally and Robin, respectively.
While Joy receives a marriage proposal, Wally makes it clear he is not
interested in a long term commitment with Babs. Situations aren't always as
they seem, however, and both girls have a lot to learn. This pre-code drama
deals frankly with the issue of sex and mortality during wartime conditions.
Although it has some of the static feel of an early talkie and skims over some
relevant events in the story it is still an interesting and entertaining film.
